Idaho native, Harry Bettis, and his daughters, Laura Bettis and Janelle Bettis Wise, are committed to helping the University of Idaho encourage bright high school students to stay in the state for their college experience. In fact, Idaho had one of the highest high school college-bound senior export rates in the Northwest. Studies show that once they leave, they seldom return. Through the foundation established by Harry’s great-aunt, Laura Moore Cunningham, they provide support to scholarship programs at the University of Idaho. Thanks to Harry and his family, Idaho benefits by keeping some of their brightest sons and daughters in the state as future contributors to the state’s communities and economy.
