Receipts & Acknowledgements

The University of Idaho Foundation, Inc. deposits all checks promptly and will send an acknowledgment for your gift and a receipt for your tax records for each program you support. For program gifts paid online via credit card, a confirmation is e-mailed immediately followed by an official University of Idaho Foundation, Inc. receipt in the U.S. mail.

To claim a charitable tax deduction, the IRS requires that the donor obtain a receipt for all charitable contributions of $250 or more. The University of Idaho Foundation, Inc. typically mails a receipt within two days of when the gift is received, but at peak gift processing times, such as the end of the year, it make take longer.
