Students talking in Living Learning Community

Living Learning

The Living Learning Communities (LLC) are a combination between residence halls and apartments designed with upper-division students in mind.

The LLC features several different communities ranging from coed, traditional students to our global village for both international and American students. Plus, there are communities organized by academic interest, including engineering, natural resources and scholars.

The LLC provides the perfect space for social activities, while also offering more individual space for projects and studying.

There are many different living options available to you at the LLC:
  • Gem is a civics and service community. Gem is a community designed for students from all academic programs who believe the world can be changed, one volunteer at a time.
  • Syringa is an interdisciplinary living learning community, open to students in all academic programs. Syringa is designed to encourage studying and community interaction in the main floor common area with a large kitchen and dining area, fire nook, game room, living room, and study rooms.
  • Upham is an interdisciplinary living learning community, open to students in all academic programs. Upham is designed to encourage studying and community interaction in the main floor common area with a large kitchen and dining area, fire nook, game room, living room, and study rooms.
