Scholarship Opportunities For
Western Undergraduate Exchange
The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is one of the most prestigious scholarship awards. The scholarship committee will automatically evaluate students based on the academic information provided on the February 15 application for undergraduate admission. To be eligible for the WUE scholarship, students must be admitted to the University of Idaho.
Eligible applicants must be first time incoming students to the University of Idaho (freshman or transfer) from:
- Alaska
- Arizona
- California
- Colorado
- Hawaii
- Montana
- Nevada
- New Mexico
- North Dakota
- Oregon
- South Dakota
- Utah
- Washington
- Wyoming
You do not need to apply for the WUE Scholarship; you will be automatically considered based on the academic information on your admission application.
Beginning January 1, file your FAFSA by our priority date of February 15 for opportunities for additional financial aid.

> WUE recipients pay 150% of Idaho resident tuition and fees, a value of $40,000+ over four years.
> WUE is renewable up to four years for freshman recipients with a minimum University of Idaho GPA
> WUE is renewable from 1-3 years depending on the number of transfer credits for transfers with a minimum University of Idaho GPA
