Consortium Agreement

To receive Financial Aid from the University of Idaho while attending both Idaho and another institution or solely attending another institution, a Consortium Agreement Form must be completed.

See enrollment requirements for scholarships.

Section I - To be completed by the visiting student.  This consortium agreement must have the name and address of the other institution the student will be attending. By completing this section in its entirety, UI will be able to process this agreement in a timely manner. Note that a consortium agreement is good for one term only.

Section II - To be completed by the visiting institution.  After the student completes Section I, the financial aid office at the school the student is visiting must complete Section II.  By completing this section, the visiting institution agrees to provide grade transcripts at the end of the term of classes the student attended.  Receipt of these transcripts for each term will determine academic progression at the University of Idaho.

The visiting school must send the completed form to the Registrar's office at the University of Idaho.  The address this form should be mailed to is:

Office of the Registrar
University of Idaho
Moscow, ID  83844-4260

Section III - to be completed by the Office of Registrar, University of Idaho.  The Registrar's office has final authority as to whether the credits taken at the visiting institution will be accepted toward the student's degree at the University of Idaho.  If these credits are not acceptable, the student will be notified by the UI office of Student Financial Aid Services that these credits cannot be used toward the receipt of financial aid.

University of Idaho/Washington State University Cooperative Course Program

Students receiving their financial aid in a degree program at the University of Idaho and enrolled in the University of Idaho/Washington State University Cooperative Course Program may take approved classes at Washington State University (WSU) and count those credits toward their financial aid eligibility.  No additional forms need to be completed as course information will be shared electronically between the two institutions.

The classes in the program make up less that 50% of any degree program at the University of Idaho. In most cases students will just take 1-5 classes to supplement their degree requirements at the University of Idaho. Class will be held on one of the WSU campuses (most on the Pullman campus) and may be offered in a traditional classroom setting, on-line, or a combination of both.

The University of Idaho cost of attendance will be used for calculating financial aid eligibility. Students will pay University of Idaho base tuition and fees. Special additional class fees may be charged to the student by WSU depending on the class. If a student files an appeal for a special circumstance those extra fees may be considered in the student's cost of attendance based on the professional judgment of the financial aid office.
