Receiving Your Financial Aid

Financial aid is first  applied toward University of Idaho charges (credit and lab fees, etc.) If financial aid has not paid all university charges, contact Student Accounts to pay the remaining balance.

Financial Aid Availability

If financial aid has paid all university charges and there are leftover (residual) funds, you can opt for a direct deposit of residual funds to your specified savings or checking account.  If you did not sign up for direct deposit in the Fall, we encourage you to do so for the Spring. It is particularly important for students who are not on the Moscow campus (those at off-campus sites, on national student exchange or study abroad.). Residual financial aid is direct deposited weekly beginning Friday, August 17th.  Funds are typically available in bank accounts within 1-3 days depending on bank processing time.  Direct Deposit Sign Up

Residual fund checks may be picked up at Student Accounts beginning the first day of class.   On Wednesday, August 20th only, pick up checks in the S.U.B. Chief's room from 9AM to 4PM.   The Student Accounts Cashier’s Window is open daily from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.  Contact Student Accounts to have a check mailed to you.

You may also use residual financial aid and/or scholarships to make deposits on your Vandal Card with your billing statement.  Learn more at Student Accounts.
