Applying is Easy

New Students:

 

Applying for all university merit-based scholarships and financial aid is a simple step-by-step process:

  1. Apply for Admission - complete with fee, transcripts and test scores to be considered for merit-based scholarships. No separate scholarship applications are required.
  2. Complete the FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid to be considered for need-based scholarships and federal financial aid.
  3. Accept Your Financial Aid on VandalWeb

Continuing Students:

You will automatically be considered for merit-based scholarships. No separate applications are required.

Important Dates
The following are important dates and milestones to be aware of as you go through the financial aid process.
January 1 First date to file FAFSA for the following academic year 
February 15 Priority date for submitting application for admission and supporting documentation for new freshmen. Admission applications must be submitted by this date to qualify for guaranteed scholarships.
FAFSA priority date for new freshmen and continuing students. FAFSA may be submitted later but some types of aid could be limited.
Late March Award notifications begin for new students. Watch your VandalMail for notification and login to VandalWeb to review, accept or decline your financial aid awards.
Summer Session Financial Aid Applications available on-line.
Mid-April Award notifications begin for continuing students
May 1st Priority date for submitting application for admission, supporting documentation and the FAFSA for new transfer students. Admission applications must be submitted by this date to qualify for guaranteed scholarships. FAFSA may be submitted later but some types of aid could be limited.
