Description:

University-contracted video conferencing solution for meetings and classes.

Zoom is the preferred video conferencing solution at the University of Idaho. It allows users to make video chat, and voice calls from computers, tablets, H.323/SIP Video Conferencing systems and mobile devices. Zoom is available for computers running Microsoft Windows, MacOS, or Linux distributions—as well as Android and iOS mobile devices.

Participants do not need a Zoom account to join a meeting. Anyone can join a meeting using the Zoom mobile apps or desktop applications for Windows and Mac. A Zoom account is required to host a meeting.

There are no costs for use of the Zoom conferencing services provided through the university’s license. Our license allows for 300 participants in normal meetings. Cloud recording is available for employee accounts. Videos stored in the Zoom cloud storage will be automatically deleted after 9 months.

Webinar and Large Meeting licenses are available upon request. We have a limited number of 500 and 1000 participant webinar licenses available at no cost. Larger meeting licenses will incur a charge that must be paid by the requestor with a valid index. Prices for the webinar and large meeting licenses are below. Please request any webinar or large meeting license at least two weeks prior to your meeting as it will take some time to process the request with Zoom.
