4-H Youth Development
The University of Idaho 4-H Youth Development program is a leader in guiding Idaho's youth to become responsible, productive citizens. 4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential through working and learning in partnership with caring adults. For more information visit the 4-H official website.
Enrollment and Fees
Youth ages 5 to 18 years old (as of January 1), are eligible to enroll in 4-H. Our program year runs October 1 to September 30 each year. Participants ages 8 to 18 participate in a wide variety project, leadership and citizenship activities - including competitive events. Special needs individuals older than 18 are eligible to participate, provided they are still enrolled in high school.
Cloverbud is designed for youth ages 5 to 7 and focuses on non-competitive, group learning experiences. Please e-mail Sharla Wilson for more information about enrollment exceptions.
New and returning members may enroll between October 1st and March 1st to be eligible to participate in many of our annual activities and events. There is a modest fee that provides program support, including project materials and accident insurance.
