We will let you know as soon as we have scheduled the IDAH2O spring 2016 Snapshot. This will be your chance to have a water sample from your monitoring site tested for phosphorus, nitrates and bacteria for $40.

Samples must be collected on the scheduled day after 10:00 am and returned to the UI Coeur d'Alene Harbor Center by 4:00 p.m., or one of our drop-off sites in Moscow and Sandpoint by 2:00 p.m.

RSVP Required

Please sign up by emailing to idah2o@uidaho.edu:

  • Your interest/availability
  • Mailing address
  • Number of sites
  • Whether you plan to use the Moscow or Sandpoint drop off site (otherwise we will assume you will bring the sample to the Harbor Center).

The fall 2015 snapshot was held Friday, October 9th. Thank you so much to all of the Master Water Stewards who collected water samples and brought them to the UI Harbor Center or to the drop off points in Sandpoint and Moscow for analysis.

Samples were tested for nitrate-N, total phosphorus, total coliform bacteria, and E. coli. To ensure accuracy and precision in the Snapshot, we followed protocol set forth in our Quality Assurance Project Plan. "ND" = below detection limit.

  • The HACH technologies used to test for nutrients had a nitrate detection range of 0.23-13.50 mg/L.
  • IDAH2O teamed up with SVL Laboratories to test for Total Phosphorous (TP). The TP detection range is 0.004-1.5 mg/L.
  • Bacteria values are expressed as MPN/100 mL or Most Probable Number per 100 mL of sample water.
