4-H Youth Development
4-H is the largest youth organization worldwide, reaching all 50 states and 80 countries.
Members have fun and make new friends while gaining leadership, citizenship and useful life skills through a wide variety of projects.
Skilled, caring adult volunteer leaders provide guidance and ensure a safe learning environment.

Eligibility
4-H is open year-round to youth ages 5 to 18 without regard to race, creed, gender, marital status, handicaps or disadvantages, economic or ethnic backgrounds.
Participants ages 8 to 18 are eligible for all 4-H programs, including competitive activities and events. Ages 5 to 7 are eligible to participate in Cloverbuds.
Individuals older than 18 who have special needs are eligible if they are still enrolled in high school.
4-H age is the age of the individual on Jan. 1 of the current 4-H year (which runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30).
Enrollment
Individuals can enroll at any time, but are encouraged to enroll between Oct. 1 and Dec. 1 so they can fully participate in all activities and events for that year.

Clubs
4-H club meeting days and times are scheduled by the volunteer leader of each club. Teton County offers over 25 clubs. Clubs are available for youth ages 5-18.
To join 4-H: first create a “family profile” in Zsuite, the 4-H enrollment portal: https://4h.zsuite.org/. Next add all family members who will be participating in 4-H for the year. When registering a child, please sign up for all the clubs that may interest them. The volunteer leader will contact you about the meeting dates, times and location of all club meetings. If you discover that the club will not work for your schedule, you are not obligated to join that club. If you are unable to find a club that fits your schedule there will be no enrollment fee. Once you complete the online registration for 4-H, stop by the UI Extension office in Teton County to pay the Teton County 4-H enrollment dues. Enrollment begins in October of each year. Sign up early to enroll in the fall and winter 4-H clubs. Enrollment scholarships are available. Are you new to 4-H or want to see what 4-H is all about? Fees
There is a nominal annual fee that helps cover the cost of project curriculum, accident insurance, resource materials, related mailings and state participation fees. Cash or checks can be made out to: University of Idaho Extension, Teton County (can be mailed to 150 Courthouse, Suite 208, Driggs ID, 83422 or drop by our office). All Livestock Club enrollment fees are due by Feb. 1 of the club year. All Other club dues are due prior to the first club meeting.
Scholarships for enrollment fees are available to those with financial need. Contact us for information.

Alpine 4-H Camp
All Teton County youth, especially our 4-H Club participants, are encouraged to attend our annual camp each June in Alpine, Wyoming. Applications to attend camp are typically due in early June. Please contact us at 208-776-8235.
