Animal Projects

See the 4-H projects page for a complete list of 4-H record book guidelines and project requirements. We also encourage you to review the Youth Exhibitor, Livestock Rules and Auction sections of the Owyhee County Fair book. The Fair book is typically available in June in The Owyhee Avalanche and at several local businesses in your community.

Large Animals

Market

CCS books are no longer used for beef, goat, sheep or swine projects. We will be using lesson plans created by the University of Idaho 4-H Animal Task Force. These lesson plans can be used along with the Resource Handbook for each species. If you would like to order one or more Resource Handbooks for your club or family, we can order those through the UI Extension office.
