Plant Clinic
Get research-based, common-sense answers to your gardening questions from certified Idaho Master Gardeners at the Plant Clinic. The clinic operates during the growing season beginning the first week of May. Visit the Plant Clinic on Tuesdays 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the UI Extension, Nez Perce County office.

Plant or Insect Sample Submission Guidelines
If you have a plant, weed or insect problem, we will need to see a sample.
Bring samples to the UI Extension, Nez Perce County office for identification and diagnosis. It is helpful to fill out a diagnostic form to bring in with your sample.

Low Water Use Landscaping — Xeriscape

The Xeriscape Demonstration Garden next to the UI Extension, Nez Perce County office showcases traditional and alternative means of landscaping. Learn about water efficient landscaping and see growing examples of drought tolerant plants as they pass through the seasons.
Idaho Master Gardener Program
The Idaho Master Gardener Program is an educational opportunity for meeting the gardening information needs of the community. The purpose of the program is to prepare qualified volunteers to extend technical assistance and provide home horticulture information to the community.
Idaho Master Gardeners may assist with garden lectures, exhibits, demonstrations, school and community gardening, diagnostic services, research and related projects.
Master gardener training in the Lewis-Clark Valley is offered during even numbered calendar years. The 60 hours of classes are typically held on Tuesday afternoons from mid-January through April. Training includes classroom lecture, online modules and field trips to WSU and U of I campuses.
This program is held in partnership with the WSU Extension, Asotin County office.
