About UI Extension, Kootenai County

University of Idaho Extension provides research-based programs in response to local issues and needs. It helps citizens improve their social, economic and environmental quality of life.

UI Extension, Kootenai County offers programming in these areas:

  • Family and Consumer Science
  • Forestry
  • Home Horticulture
  • 4-H Youth Development.

The headquarters for our Northern District Extension operations, along with an Area Extension Educator in Water, are also located in Coeur d’Alene at the University of Idaho’s branch campus.
