Nutrition and Health Classes
Join University of Idaho Extension Educator, Bridget Morrisroe-Aman at West Junior High School to learn about probiotics and fermented foods, and the role they play in our human microbiome. Participants will get to sample different fermented foods. Class handouts and tools will be provided to take home.

Learn How to Make Mozzarella Cheese!
Learn the details of cheesemaking: why milk becomes cheese, what chemicals are used and why, various types of milk used, how to avoid cheese failure and the secrets to making your own perfect cheese. The nutritional benefits of dairy will be covered as well. There will be lots of samples and you’ll take home detailed handouts on making mozzarella cheese. Come hungry!

Prevent T2-Diabetes Prevention
A proven program to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes in those that are high risk, developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The program is designed for people with prediabetes, as well as those who are at high risk for type 2 diabetes. Classes will be taught in English and Spanish. A new series will start fall 2018; class dates will be posted when available.
