Master Food Preservation Class

The Family and Consumer Sciences Educator's for the University of Idaho offers a Master Food Preserving Class hosted in Bingham County each year. The Bannock County Extension Office would like to have this class in our great new teaching kitchen in late September. If you missed the class in Bingham County this year, click on the link to see a Youtube presentation and learn more about food preservation in your home. Click here

Artisan Bread Class

Artisan BreadThe Bannock County Extension is offering Artisan Bread Classes. We have had such an overwhelming response that we would like to offer this class in the near future. If you are interested in signing up please call 208-236-7311. The fee is just $5.00 to cover class supplies and please bring a covered bowl, there will be lots of samples to take home.

There is information on how to can properly and procedures to safely put-up your favorite foods. Remember, when canning at home, use only USDA approved recipes.

Preserve @ Home
Food Preservation Classes in Bannock CountyThe University of Idaho Extension offers Preserve @ Home, an internet course designed to teach individuals how to safely preserve a variety of food products. Participants learn how to produce high quality preserved foods and the science behind food preservation and food safety.
