Services Offered
When bringing specimens in to the office, follow the instructions found in this document. We do not perform post mortems as it is extremely hard to identify problems with dead material.

The Diagnostic Clinic hours are Monday to Wednesday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please use the form below when bringing specimens to the office.
Diagnostic Submission Form
Soil Test
Soil test kits are available at the Ada County Extension. Soil samples are gathered and prepared according to the directions provided with the kits and mailed to the University of Idaho. When you receive your results please call the Extension Office for help interpreting the results.
Fall Tips
Fall is the time to aerate your lawn to loosen roots and promote growth. This is also the time of year to apply a winterizer fertilizer on your lawn. Fertilizing in mid-September and mid-November will cut down on the amount of fertilizer you have to use next spring.
