Rabbit Projects

Rabbits are favorites of 4-Hers around the world. They can live inside or outside, take up little space and are easy to care for. With all rabbit projects, you will

  • gain knowledge of sound breeding, feeding and management practices
  • develop integrity, sportsmanship, decision-making capabilities and public speaking skills
  • participate in demonstrations, tours and exhibits

Breeding Rabbit

Own and care for one or more does for at least 90 days before exhibiting. Raise at least one litter. Show at least one animal at the fair.

Market Rabbit

Raise at least one litter for market. Show at least one animal at the fair.

Pet Rabbit

Care for and show at least one doe or buck at the fair.

Rabbit, Non-Animal

Benefit from many aspects of the project without actually owning the animal.
