4-H Ambassadors
The best spokespersons for 4-H are older 4-H members. Nothing promotes the program better than youthful 4-H members telling their stories so the members of the public can see and hear what they have accomplished in 4-H.
4-H Ambassadors promote the program to youths, parents, potential leaders, donors, and the general public. A 4-H Ambassador is a teen 4-H member representative of the program who speaks on behalf of the larger membership.
The Idaho 4-H Ambassador training is held each November. This program is for 4-Hers who are high school freshmen or older and who have completed at least two years of 4-H Club work.
To learn more about how to become a 4-H Ambassador or how to start a program in your county, download the Idaho 4-H Ambassador Handbook.
The 2012 November Ambassador Training Conference will be held near McCall, Idaho. Applications are due in October on the date specified on the application.
