Volunteer

Volunteers are very important to OMK programs. All of our programs are meant to create community support for military youths. Your assistance and leadership in our programs makes OMK possible.

Regional Event Volunteers

OMK welcomes individuals who desire to serve military kids on an occasional basis. If your time is limited, this could be a great way to serve. Regional event volunteers are called to serve once or twice a year in your own region to help plan or staff OMK activities.

Duties might include some coordination with OMK partners in your region, sitting at an OMK booth at an event in your region and informing local families of OMK programs and upcoming events.

Specialist Volunteers

Specialist Volunteers are those who already have special skills or who are willing to attend needed training to become a volunteer in a specific OMK program. OMK offers special programs throughout the year that require a certified volunteer expert in fields such as computer science or shooting sports.

These volunteers would be called upon on a semi-annual or quarterly basis. View the specialty areas below.

  • Archery and Shooting Sports
  • Babysitting Training
  • Mobile Technology Manager

Youth Group Leaders

If you want experience in youth development or would just like to serve the youths in your community, this could be the volunteer position for you!

OMK offers a few programs that require monthly meetings and a leader who is willing to facilitate these programs. We are looking for youth group leaders in all regions of Idaho.

Administrative Volunteers

These volunteers assist OMK with running its daily operations by working with state partners, web page and social media management, resource development and coordination with Idaho schools.
