Full or Part Time
Students may pursue a degree in engineering management on a part time or full time basis. A student is considered full time if registered for 8 or more credits during the semester. In general, part-time students will take one or two classes during a semester while full time students will take three or four.
Part-Time Students:
Most students in the Engineering Management Program are part time. That is, they are taking one or two classes during a semester. At this rate the student can anticipate graduating in three to five years. This program is ideally suited to the student who has a full-time job while earning their degree. One characteristic of the University of Idaho program is that students can obtain all of their courses through distance delivery via our Engineering Outreach Program. So a student can be located anywhere in the world and still pursue their degree.
Full-Time Students:
Some students wish to pursue the degree full time and complete their requirements faster. In this situation it is best, though not necessary, for the student to attend at a University of Idaho facility in Moscow, Boise, or Idaho Falls.
