Frequently Asked Questions
Is acceptance into the Engineering Management Program required in order to take classes?
Anyone can register as a non-degree seeking student and take classes as long as the prerequisites of the particular class are met.
Some students are uncertain of their desires and will take one or two classes first and then decide to be admitted into the program. This action may limit your options later in your degree program.
Contact the Engineering Management Student Adviser, Denise Engebrecht for more information.
Off-campus participation in the Engineering Managment Program
Most Engineering Managment students do not live in Idaho. All classes (with the exception of the masters project) can be taken at a distance through Engineering Outreach (EO).
The Master's Project is conducted one-on-one with faculty members via email and telephone. Some of your classes may be taken through EO and some live at one of the University of Idaho campuses (depending on what is being offered each semester). Courses may also be transfered from other universities with an advisor’s permission and following University of Idaho policies for transfer courses.
