Master
of Engineering in Civil Engineering
A
minimum of 33 credits is required. The other M.S. requirements apply.
The study program includes a directed study course involving the preparation
of a technical paper.
Candidates
for graduate study must fulfill the requirements of the College of Graduate
Studies and of the Department of Civil Engineering. See the UI Catalog
College of Graduate Studies section (Part 4) for the General
Requirements applicable to each degree.
Course
work requirements in each of the degree programs are relatively flexible
depending on student interest and course availability. Financial assistance
is available on a competitive basis in the form of instructional and graduate
research assistantships. Students interested in graduate studies should
select a specialty area in which they wish to study. Entrance requirements
for the College of Graduate Studies apply. Foreign students must have
a TOEFL score of at least 550 for admission to any departmental graduate
degree program.
