Undergraduate Program
Lower-division courses in civil engineering consist of a common core of basic courses in science, mathematics, and engineering required of most students within the College of Engineering.
Civil engineering courses at the junior level introduce the subject matter of the civil engineering sub-disciplines, while the senior level courses add depth in elective areas.
Design procedures are introduced in the first and second year of the program, are intensified in the third year required courses, and culminate in significant design experiences in technical elective courses in the fourth year.
Transfer students must show a similar, progressive-design experience beginning at least with their junior level courses.
