Bridge Idaho's Programs

girls in front of statue of LibertyBridge Idaho’s programs enable us, as staff of the University of Idaho, to serve as a resource and advocate for low-income and first-generation students who are preparing for, transitioning to, and attending higher education. Our programs in secondary services, post-secondary services and research not only have a direct and positive impact upon our students but also inform University policy and practice so that higher education, and the University of Idaho specifically, are more open, understanding and accommodating to the needs of low-income and first-generation students. Together with our institutional and community partners, we help build the cultural competency of both students who are entering a new environment and the institution that is strengthened by their acceptance and inclusion.
