About Bridge Idaho
“Let’s not play these kids cheap; let’s find out what they have. What do they have that is a strength? What do they have that you can approach and build a bridge upon? Education is all a matter of building bridges, it seems to me.”
~Ralph Ellison
Bridge Idaho is an organization dedicated to educational opportunity, college access, and achievement in higher education for low-income and first-generation students. We operate at both the University of Idaho and in Idaho’s communities to act as a resource and advocate for our participants. Bridge Idaho’s programs are at the very heart of the University’s land-grant mission of serving the citizens of Idaho while strengthening the teaching, scholarly and creative capacities of the institution.
Bridge Idaho is located within the College of Education and receives funding from the US Department of Education, the Nez Perce Tribe, the State of Idaho, and the US Department of Agriculture.
