Undergraduate Advising

The University of Idaho Teacher Education Program assigns an education advisor to students working toward earning teaching certification. Those seeking teaching certification have the option of completing their bachelor's degrees in the College of Education (except for agricultural education, family life education and music education) or in the department of their subject major.

Transfer Students

To determine if classes from your previous academic institution meet UI requirements, please use the UI Transfer Guide. The guide will help pair courses taken at other academic institutions with comparable UI classes. Transfer students should make an appointment to speak with an academic advisor at their earliest opportunity.

Official transcripts must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar for transcript analysis. When the analysis is complete, the appropriate department will determine changes or other substitutions.

Career Advising

Make an appointment to speak with one of the College of Education faculty members in your program or the University of Idaho Career Center to discuss career questions.

Email College of Education Student Services for a sample plan of suggested courses.
