Teaching Programs

Teaching Programs

Careful distinction should be made between a student's "academic major" and any additional "teaching majors" or "teaching minors" leading to certification. Review the description of each below and click for a list of options. Also, check out the University of Idaho General Catalog and College of Education for more information about the teaching program and certification options.

Academic Majors

Students will choose an academic major and will complete the curriculum to be awarded a degree such as Bachelor of Science in education (B.S.Ed.) or Bachelor of Science in technology (B.S.Tech), etc.

Additional Teaching Majors and Minors

Curriculum for additional teaching majors and minors can be accomplished for certification to teach specific subjects in K-12 schools, such as art, history, science, etc.
