Why I wanted to become a student ambassador:

I wanted to become a student ambassador for the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences because I am passionate about the importance of pursuing higher education, especially here at the University of Idaho where so many areas of study are offered. The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences prepares students for many different careers, such as teaching, athletic training, physical/occupational therapy, medical school, etc. My hope is to help direct students into an area of study they are most passionate about. With the endless support from the staff within the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences, I was able to find that passion in my own studies as an Exercise Science and Health major.

Major: Secondary Education, Social Studies

Year in School: Sophomore

Activities: Omega Delta Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Association of Latino Professionals for America, ASUI Student Diversity Council

Why I wanted to become a student ambassador:

The reason why I wanted to become an ambassador was because before coming to the University of Idaho, I never realize just how much potential I truly possessed. Coming to this university and being exposed to all of the great opportunities that are presented here truly makes me thankful to be a Vandal. I am very passionate about trying to get students to persuade their dreams by going on to receive a higher education, so being an ambassador gives me that extra step to go and reach out to those that need that extra push. Not only that, but I felt that it is important for students like myself who are of Latinx background be in these positions so that we can be able to share our diverse prospective in these important roles. I truly hope to build close relationships with the great staff that we have in our building but also persuade the future leaders of our field to come join us at the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.
