Important Dates & Requirements

The Practicum or Internship application and enrollment process should be completed several weeks to months before you intend to start your placement.

Practicum- Contract/Agreement is due no later than 2 weeks before the section start date.

Internship- Contract/Agreement is due no later than one month before the section start date.

The process from thinking about to starting your placements can take a long time to complete, on average 2 months for practicum and 6 months for internship, so please make sure you start looking early and get all of your paperwork in in a timely fashion.

• The hold for the class will not be lifted until all steps are complete.
•  You cannot start any placement until all steps are complete.

Requirements of Practicum and Internship MAY include any or all of the following:

•  Current CPR certification (certain sites may require additional certifications)
•  HIPAA training
•  Blood borne pathogen training
•  Current immunizations 
•  Background check

Note, the costs of these certifications are paid by the student
