People of the Dance Program

The Dance Program offers professional faculty who are known nationally for their teaching and choreography. There is a small faculty-to-student ratio, which provides students the leading edge needed in the dance field. Students work one-on-one with the faculty to identify and prepare for individual career goals in dance.

The Center for Dance brings in many top name guest artists each year. Recent guests have included members of Alvin Ailey II, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zanes, Diablo Ballet, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Pilobolus, Urban Bush Women; and choreography by Bill Evans, Henning Rübsam, Alan Senar and Frankie Manning.
