The primary focus is to find students who will succeed in the profession of athletic training. While applicants will have a variety of backgrounds and experience levels, our goal is to find the most qualified applicants. Strong applicants will have a strong understanding of the profession of athletic training, will have an accurate understanding of what it means to be an athletic trainer, and will demonstrate the ability to develop into an effective clinician.
Fulfillment of the basic admissions requirements does not guarantee admission. Acceptance into the AT Program is based on a scoring system calculated from grade point average (cumulative and prerequisite courses), completion of all prerequisite courses, completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, resume/curriculum vitae, essay with career goals and understanding of the AT profession, letters of recommendation, and interview scores.
