Curriculum
The Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) is a 24 month cohort program, beginning in June of each year. During each summer session, students complete four weeks of on campus coursework and then complete the remainder of the summer session on-line. The fall and spring semesters are delivered completely online while Students work in a clinical setting of their choice (program faculty must approve the clinical setting during the admissions process). This approach allows students to continue to work while attending school and to focus their coursework on actual clinical practice. Coursework in the DAT has 3 focus areas: current issues in clinical practice, applied research in athletic training, and clinical residency.
