Outreach

The Athletic Training faculty engages in outreach in a variety of ways, both internally within the University and externally within the profession. One way that we (faculty and students) serve the University of Idaho community is by offering a “Free Injury Clinic”. This clinic allows the student to take a leading, active role in the evaluation and treatment of injuries and illnesses under direct supervision from the Athletic Training faculty. The clinic personnel receive guidance and referrals internally from UI Student Health and communicates cooperatively with local physicians and other health care providers. This clinic utilizes a unique model of health care and presents students with real world experience while refining clinical practice.

The "Free Injury Clinic" is located in Memorial Gym B1. It has limited hours and sees walk-in patients on a first-come, first-serve basis.
