University of Idaho's outstanding athletic training education program prepares you to address health care issues of athletes and the physically active individual. The program integrates academic concepts with a strong and comprehensive clinical experience. As a graduate of our entry-level Master's of Science in Athletic Training, you will be eligible to sit for the Board of Certification national examination. For athletic trainers already working in the field, we are proud to offer the nation's first Doctor of Athletic Training.
Supported by a rich artistic community and nationally recognized dance faculty, the University of Idaho offers the state’s only Bachelor of Science in Dance. The distinctive program provides personal attention from experienced dance experts, excellent concert performance opportunities and modern studio spaces to give you the professional training and strong educational foundation you need to transform your passion for dance into a successful career.
Exercise Science and Health:
Our undergraduate and graduate programs in Exercise Science and Health will prepare you to be a leader in the nation's battle against physical inactivity, a major health risk for the U.S. population. Our undergraduate programs prepare you for career paths and/or graduate study in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, public and community health, corporate and community wellness, physical therapy, medicine, athletic training, and numerous other health professions. You will be prepared to work in the world of health and wellness in a variety of settings with people of all ages.
Physical Education Teacher Education:
Our undergraduate and graduate programs in physical education prepare you with the knowledge and skills to teach and promote movement, physical activity, fitness and wellness in elementary and secondary school settings. As a certified K-12 physical education teacher, you'll have the ability to make a positive difference in the wellness of children of all ages.
Through our graduate and undergraduate programs in recreation, we prepare you to lead public and private programs that are designed to encourage active lifestyles. As a graduate of the only accredited recreation program in the state and one of three in the Pacific Northwest, you will have the credentials needed for national certification, and the expertise and training to improve the health of people of all ages.
