Educational Leadership. Ed.S.

Degree Prep

To be considered for the Educational Leadership program, students must have a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association. If the degree is from a recognized but not regionally accredited institution, the application will be reviewed by the department and by the College of Graduate Studies.

Education specialist degree (Superintendent Certification) courses:

• EDAD 571: Educational Leadership in a Global Society
• EDAD 584: Bargaining/Mediation/Arbitration
• EDAD 586: Advanced School Finance
• EDAD 587: The Superintendency
• EDAD 592: School Community Relations
• EDAD 593: School Facilities Planning & Maintenance
• EDAD 594: Theory in Educational Administration
• EDAD 598: Internship, Central Office

Plus two elective courses and an earned master’s degree in a related field to total a minimum of 60 credit hours in accordance with college, graduate school and university requirements.

Professional Licensing

Completion of the program will make you eligible to sit for the Standard Administrative Certificate with principal, special education director, and superintendent endorsement.

Hands-On Learning

You will earn degrees and prepare for certifications in a variety of online or face-to-face formats that suit your busy schedule.
