Department Chair Welcome

Welcome to the Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) Department.

C&I offers teacher certification programs approved by The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). NCATE will soon to be known as, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Our programs are also accredited by the Idaho State Board of Education (SBOE).

Programs within the C&I Department include:
Elementary Education, B.S. Ed.,
Secondary Education, B.S. Ed.,
Career and Technical Education, B.S. Ed.
Special Education, M.Ed., and
Advanced Studies, M.Ed. & Ed.S.
As well, C&I is home to the Education Core courses required of all preservice teachers.

Our graduates emerge confident in their choice to be teachers and leaders in the classroom. They are well-prepared for the challenges and esteem that will accompany them throughout their careers in education. They are self-assured and happy to help every time a student calls, “Teacher …"
