I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. I have been in the United States for 20 some years. During those years, I was a graduate student, a classroom teacher for over a decade, an ESL curriculum coordinator and a university instructor. Because of my background, I am interested in second language learning, ethnicity, and race that mediate the processes of schooling, learning, and teaching.
