Responsibility in Education

Learn to teach basic subject areas to diverse groups of children in kindergarten through eighth grade and gain on-the-job skills with three practicum experiences in an elementary classroom and one semester of student teaching under the supervision of experienced teachers. Upon graduation you are eligible to take certification exams for the state in which you want to work.

Hands-On Learning You will have many opportunities to gain valuable firsthand experience working with children in a variety of settings. Admission to the teacher education program requires 20 hours of service-learning, and a full year of student teaching is required for graduation and certification.
