College of Education students planning to teach in early childhood through 12th grade require preparation through the
Teacher Education Program. This program provides students with numerous opportunities for hands-on experience through
service learning and
partnerships with local schools.
The last year of the program involves student teaching. Many of our students opt to student teach in their own hometowns, but some have taken the opportunity to student teach in other countries, providing them with rich, multicultural experiences. Your teaching internship allows you to put your education into practice under the guidance of a teacher mentor and will assure that you are fully prepared to meet the demands of the classroom.
