The Athletic Training Educational Program (ATEP) is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education Programs (CAATE). The CAATE accreditation process requires a rigorous annual review process and a comprehensive review at least every ten years. CAATE accreditation is necessary so that our students can sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) National Athletic Trainers Exam. The University of Idaho ATEP has been nationally accredited since 2004, and our students can sit for the BOC exam upon completion of the ATEP.
For more information on the ATEP, please view our
ATEP Student Handbook.
