The CER collaborates with many State, Federal and Private entities. Below is a list of links to various sites related to the CER with which we either:

  • obtain funding,

CER Projects

  •  Red River Meadow Restoration Project - RRMRP main goal is to restore the Lower Red River Meadow to a naturally functioning wet meadow ecosystem to increase the quality and quantity of fish and wildlife habitat and improve water quality.

  • Taylor Ranch Wilderness Field Station - The station facilitates natural ecosystem based research, monitoring and education in the greater River of No Return Ecosystem.


  • U.S. Federal Agencies
    • Agricultural Research Service - ARS is one of the Research, Education and Economics (REE) agencies and is the main in-house research arm of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
    • Bonneville Power Administration, Fish and Wildlife Mitigation Program - BPA
    • Federal Emergency Management Agency - FEMA
    • National Science Foundation - NSF was created to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare; and to secure the national defense of the United States.
    • Northwest Watershed Research Center - NWRC is a US Deparment of Agriculture, ARS laboratory. Scientists at NWRC conduct hydrologic research on issues related to water supply, weather and climate, soil infiltration and erosion, remote sensing of rangeland ecosystems and revegetation of deteriorated and altered land
    • Rocky Mountain Research Station - RMRS is a US Forest Service research laboratory. The Boise Aquatic Sciences Lab conducts research on aquatic and terrestrial processes and the effects of natural and human-caused disturbances on aquatic ecosystems. This information is used to develop decision support tools to assist managers in selecting management alternatives that lead to diverse, resilient, and sustainable aquatic and associated terrestrial systems
    • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District - USACE
    • U.S. Agency for International Development - USAID is the principal U.S. agency to extend assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to escape poverty, and engaging in democratic reforms
    • U.S. Bureau of Land Management - BLM - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), an agency within the U.S. Department of the Interior, administers 261 million surface acres of America's public lands, located primarily in 12 Western States. The BLM sustains the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands for  the use and enjoyment of present and future generations
    • U.S. Bureau of Reclamation - USBR - Established in 1902, the Bureau of Reclamation is best known for the dams, powerplants, and canals it constructed in the 17 western states. These water projects led to homesteading and promoted the economic development of the West. Reclamation has constructed more than 600 dams and reservoirs including Hoover Dam on the Colorado River and Grand Coulee on the Columbia River

    • Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security - Formerly Idaho Bureau of Disaster Services - To save life and to limit human suffering, injury to wildlife, damage to natural resources, private and public property, the environment and the economy as a result of the harmful affects of natural and man-caused disasters, from all hazards, including terrorism and the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction, in support of local governments and communities
    • Idaho Department of Environmental Quality - IDEQ's mission is to protect human health and preserve the quality of Idaho's air, land, and water for use and enjoyment today and in the future.
    • Idaho Department of Fish and Game - IDFG
    • Idaho Department of Water Resources - IDWR makes sure Idaho's water and energy natural resources are properly managed and conserved to sustain the quality of life for Idahoans today and in the future
