Women's Leadership Conference

Athena collaborates every other year with the University of Idaho Women's Center and partners from Washington State University to plan the Women's Leadership Conference. The Women's Leadership Conference invites all women in higher education – students, staff and faculty - to convene to celebrate our differences and create an empowered campus community more inclusive of women as a group, irrespective of gender identification, sexual orientation, religion, race, ethnicity, ability, or socioeconomic background. The next Women's Leadership Conference will be held on the University of Idaho campus in the fall of 2014. If you would like to participate in the planning committee, please email wlc@uidaho.edu.

Networking Socials

Athena board members host a social each semester to introduce new University of Idaho faculty and staff to this association. The fall 2012 social was held on November 14 at the Best Western University Inn.

Workshops & Brown Bag Sessions

One of the benefits of Athena is ongoing professional development workshops and open brown bag sessions exploring a variety of topics, including the results of a 2010 Athena Needs Assessment Survey. If you have suggestions for a topic you'd like to see, please email the members of the Athena board at athena-board@uidaho.edu.

Woman of the Year Award & Social

Each year, we honor women on campus who contribute to our mission of promoting an inclusive and equitable climate at the University of Idaho. The recipients of this award receive a plaque and a reception in their honor co-hosted by Athena and the Office of the President of the University of Idaho.
