Scholarships & Awards
The Diversity & Human Rights Unit has established a Diversity Scholarship Committee to distribute the majority of diversity scholarships for the University of Idaho.
The Diversity Scholars Program provides academic, cultural, social assistance to recipients of any of the diversity scholarships, focusing on our first year multicultural students and returning undergraduate. We partner with many programs and services across campus to give our students a good foundation of university support services, planning workshops, and socials to connect them to campus life.
Only United States citizens and permanent residents are eligible for OMA scholarships. If you are an international student, contact the International Programs Office at (208) 885-8984.
New Students
There are no separate scholarship applications for first-year students at UI. To be automatically considered, students simply apply for admission and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Dec. 1. Priority is given to students that demonstrate high financial need with a history of academic excellence.
Returning Students
There are no separate scholarship applications for returning students at UI. To be automatically considered, students simply submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Dec. 1. Priority is given to students that demonstrate high financial need with a history of academic excellence.
