Farmworker Awareness Week

National Farmworker Awareness Week (NFAW) is a week of action for students and community members to raise awareness about farmworker issues on our campuses and in our communities. In 2018 we celebrate the 19th Annual National Farmworker Awareness Week to raise awareness about farmworker conditions and to honor their important contributions to us every day!

We present the following events at the University of Idaho:

LONG SLEEVE SHIRT DRIVE
March 24th-31st
Collected shirts will be donated to help Idaho farmworkers protect themselves against the dangers of sun and pesticide exposure.

Bobby Gaytan was born in Nampa, Idaho. He grew up as a migrant farmworker where he constantly moved throughout the U.S. to work in the fields. He was introduced to graffiti and art as a young adult and eventually pursued an artist career. He attended Boise State University and earned a BFA degree in Graphic Design.
