Men's Ice Hockey Club
Men's Ice Hockey Club is a member of the Collegiate Ice Hockey Association (CIHA), and is one of the longest running clubs at the university.
The club is part of the Northwest Collegiate Hockey Conference (NWCHC). Conference opponents include the Western Washington University Vikings, Portland State Vikings and the Eastern Washington University Eagles. Teams compete for the NWCHC title and a birth in the CIHA National Tournament.
The club competes in 28 games a season, starting mid-September and ending mid-March. Games are primarily on weekends. The team typically travels on Fridays after class, plays Friday night and Saturday night at locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Other non-conference opponents include Gonzaga University, Washington State University, University of Washington, Central Washington University, Boise State University, Montana State University, Montana Tech University, University of Oregon and the University of Utah.
Practices are twice a week at the Palouse Ice Rink in Moscow, about five minutes from campus.
