Student Support Services—TRIO

University of Idaho Student Support Services — TRIO program provides individual academic and personal support to eligible undergraduate students to help them succeed at University of Idaho and beyond.

Individualized and small-group tutoring (1-2 hours per week per class)
Fall orientation for SSS-TRIO incoming freshman
College Success Strategies course for SSS-TRIO incoming freshman

Eligibility

An SSS-TRIO student must be a U.S. Citizen or legal resident, have an academic need, and meet one or more of the following:

Be a first-generation college student (neither parent completed a bachelor’s degree)
Have a documented disability
Be from a limited income home (according to federal criteria)

Enrollment in the program is limited, and students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a student is enrolled in SSS - TRIO, an educational plan is mutually developed. Students are expected to take an active role in the program.
