Bailey Brown

Year: Senior

Hometown: Boise, Idaho

Major(s): Biology and Spanish
Minor(s): Pre-Health Professions Studies

Hobbies/Extracurricular Activities: Hanging out with friends, snowboarding, surfing, cheerleading, and community service.

Initial Interest: I want to enter this field because I am able to continuously learn while helping others. Science has been a challenging subject for me, which is why I have enjoyed it.

Experience Highlights:
Volunteering in the emergency department at Gritman, Big Brothers/Big Sisters mentor, physician shadowing (over 50 hours), research in Dr. Stenkamp's lab, professional development chair of Sarb, elections coordinator and chief of staff, and an active member of kappa delta sorority.

Advice for new Pre-Health Students:
Involve yourself with activities that you would normally not, pushing yourself to try new things is the best way to grow and also learn about yourself. At first it may be difficult but it will be rewarding in the end.
