State of Idaho Loan Programs

State of Idaho Loans

The State of Idaho sponsors one loan program for undergraduate students in the field of education, the "Student Education Incentive Program" (SEIP).

Due to the highly competitive nature of this program, (the State of Idaho State Board of Education has limited this program to no more than 12 UI students each semester) it is awarded by the Scholarship office at the UI's Student Financial Aid Services. This program provides a loan in the amount of in-state student fees each semester; the entire balance is forgiven after teaching in a public or non-profit school located in the State of Idaho (grades K-12) for a period of two years following graduation.
