1. When do I use a service contract?
Service Contracts are used when you purchase a service, not goods (items). Short form service contracts are used for yearly services < $5000. Long form service contracts are used for yearly services > $5000.
2. What is a short form and how do I use it?
The short form contract is used for services with a total annual cost less than $5000.
3. What is a long form and how do I use it?
The long form contract is used for services with a total annual cost greater than $5000.
4. How do I fill out a contract?
Both long and short contract forms are downloadable Word documents. These forms are designed to a fill-in-the-blanks format. Some critical information you will need to include is the vendor name and address and related costs or fees. Please note: fees can either be listed as a lump sum or dollars per unit not to exceed.
5. How do I process a vendor contract?
Complete the Vendor Contract Form and send it to Purchasing Services.
6. How do I hire a service?
Determine if it's an item we can Bid or Request for Proposal. Send to Purchasing Services.
7. How do I lease something?
Discuss all leases with Purchasing Services prior to commitment.
